Understandably, this is a touching and delightful piece. We treated it very delicately, and naturally. The Orchestra and cast were phenomenal. A true pleasure. The projections consisted of rear projections, as our ever modulating drops. The scenic designer based the concept for them on watercolor paintings of Florence, from the early to mid twentieth century. Some of the final product were actual paintings, but some were photographs which were “watercolorized” by me.
For the 2008-09 season, I was asked to create web video advertising. I taped our invited audience dress rehearsals, and created something that would show off the productions on our website.
