“Pitting the Lancasters and the Yorks in a battle for the crown and the future of England, this story is at times both grim and heroic. The epic tale of kings and families at war will be concluded in one grand event spanning the War of the Roses in an epic and expanded experience. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime theatrical event.  The Conclusion of Henry VI: Parts Two and Three will run four hours and twenty-five minutes, including a thirty-minute intermission.”

They weren’t kidding! Action, adventure, intrigue, and both plays condensed to two hours each, and performed in a single evening.  Not only that, but the evening begins where we left off in Henry VI Part 1, a game of thrones inspired modern-edged historically set drama, and travels through time to modern warfare and modern times, ending with Richard singing a lullaby to the baby Edward while toying with a knife above his head.  Musically, I also started where we left off, with traditional melodies and structures and a few modern instruments, primarily electric piano and guitar, which grew more and more prominent throughout the production.
