Prague Quadrennial 2015

"Assistant Professor, Joe Payne, has been accepted by USITT as one of only twenty artists to participate in the United States' entry into the 2015 Prague Quadrennial. His sound design and composed music for The Tempest (Utah Shakespeare Festival) and projection design for A Christmas Carol (Clarence Brown Theatre) will be displayed as part of the United States' exposition in Prague, and will then be displayed at the USITT 2016 Annual Conference in Salt Lake City."

The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is the world's largest exhibition in the field of scenography and theatre architecture. The first PQ took place in 1967, and since then every four years it welcomes representatives from more than 70 countries around the world to Prague.

Exhibitions of individual countries and regions present the best works in the field of scenography and performance design that have been realized in recent years in the respective countries. Expositions consist of photographs, videos, objects, models and installations and include performances, live installations, presentations, lectures, workshops, art walks and fashion shows.
